Hair

I’ve been really fed up with my long hair as the ends were rather dry, it need a cut urgently but since after Xmas I’ve been rather skint. MOT, car tax and credit card bills has not helped the matter either! To save some about £32 I decided to cut my own hair, I did use to do this when I felt skint in the past (Uni and post grad days). To refresh my memory I did a quick search on youtube and speed watched 2-3 videos and then took the plunge. I sectioned the top and bottom horizontally then with the bottom half I parted this and snipped 3 inches off, it did help that I was wearing a stripey top! Haha. I then feathered this and then repeated with the top section. My head felt a lot lighter and I definitely felt refreshed! Overall this was fairly easy.

Long hair that needed chopping!

Farewell!

I don’t have an after picture but my colleagues didn’t notice so I guess that’s a good sign?!

Trying a new fitness regime

After Christmas I have been saying to myself to join a gym to lose some of the excess holiday weight. I’ve never been keen on gyms and exercise in general as I find it rather boring, I’d rather play a sport,  you tend to not think of it as an exercise as there’s an objective, there’s a reason (getting the ball in the net/goal/hoop etc) but I’m just not social enough to rock up to join a local team! A few years ago when we lived in Ealing in London we would jog around the park, I was extremely rubbish and would stop every few minutes. I decided that I can’t jog so I gave up. Lately I have been tempted to join a gym with spa as it would encourage me to do some exercise and then relax in the steamroom, but because I would have to pay I had to think realistically whether I would use it after a long day at work. I come to the conclusion that I may slack and waste my money so I thought I’d join my bf in jogging and see how that goes first. I now have new trainers (I’ve not had proper trainers since I was 16 or so!) and this week my bf bought me some black jogging bottom leggings as I’ve been wearing my printed ones that look a bit crazy for jogging!

Trainers and Ziggy.

Ready for a jog.

The place we jog.

I really hope this new fitness regime will help me shift some weight and tone up. What do you do to stay fit?
